Wiki Wednesday
For those who missed out on the inaugural Wiki Wednesday post last week, here is your mission:
1. Go to Wikipedia.
2. Click on "Random article" in the left-hand sidebar box.
3. Post it!
Please post your Wiki-find in the Comments or on your own blog (with a link back to me, please!), and we can all learn a little something! Here's mine for today:
Lycée La Fontaine in Niamey, Niger, is a French-speaking international school attachted [sic] to the French Embassy. It was established in 1962. In 2005 it has [sic] some 785 students (42% French, 39% local citizens, and 19% from other countries) and 53 educators.

I'll play!

Did you know you can just click the "Edit This Page" tab and fix those pesky errors. It makes me nervous to tell you that because I'm afraid you won't be able to help yourself from editing the whole Wiki site. :-)
My random article: Jacana railway station, Melbourne. Jacana is a railway station on the Broadmeadows railway line. The station is 16km from Flinders Street Station and is in Metcard Zone 2. The station is unmanned.

Hey, cool! Did you already fix those two errors before I got there, or did someone else beat us both to it?

I must admit. I couldn't help myself. :)

OK, mine's up! http://rinnofthestar.blogspot.com/2006/03/wiki-wednesday_22.html
P.S. I fixed two spelling errors on my article, too. Not only is this meme educational, but with all of our editing skills combined, maybe we really can make Wikipedia a better place to visit. :)
