Rachel mentioned in a comment that I neglected to upload a Passover post, and she's right. We got home late-ish on Monday, and I was so cooked that I went to bed without blogging. Bad blogger, bad! So I will tell you now that we went to Lauren's, we managed to fit 23 around the table, and we had a great seder. I know there are families who can't get together for Passover (or don't wish to get together for Passover), and that means that we are very lucky. We read, we prayed, we sang, we drank, we ate, we did all the right stuff, but most of all, we were together for yet another seder together. We mentioned Gram a million times, and it felt happy instead of sad.
I made the matzoh meal rolls again, and was horrified to discover that the last 4 batches were made with medium eggs instead of large—as if they're not dry enough already! But they turned out fine, and no one was the wiser (or the impoliter). There was chicken and brisket and asparagus and matzoh kugel and on and on, then macaroons and chocolate matzoh brickle and fruit.... And then we all fell over into a big tired, full heap. Happy Passover!
