So I mentioned yesterday that Andy and I went out to dinner with a voucher and also got the kids their pizza on a voucher. Yes, we are all about the vouchers in this house! Every day I get an email from several different outfits, all of whom are just dying to save me some money. Some are better than others. Here are my favorites:
1. Groupon: The grand-daddy of 'em all. If you want to get in on the action, use my code (I think I get a bonus if you do) or, if you prefer, just join on your own. I call all types of vouchers from all companies "Groupons," sort of like how "Scotch tape" and "Kleenex" have become generic terms. There's also Groupon NOW, which is a smartphone app that lets you in on lots of last-minute deals based on your location. How cool is that?
2. Eversave: Another biggy. Lotsa good stuff here too. Again, my code is here, or you can fly solo.
3. Living Social. Same deal, except that if three people buy a deal that I just bought, I get it for free. And so on. Join here. BuyWithMe works the same way.
4. LevelUp: This one's a little different. First you download an app to your smartphone. Then, when it's time to pay, you just flash your personal QR code, and BEEP! The transaction is doneāfast! We use this regularly at The Local (our local), and we've already twice hit the $25 bonus. Sweet. Join with me (we'll each get $5!) or on your own.
5. Others! I recently got one from Amazon of all places (the aforementioned pizza), and there's more, though I haven't bought from anyone else yet.
Oh, and if you don't use a voucher before its expiration date, have no fear! Your voucher will still be worth the amount you paid for it. (That is, if you bought a $20 voucher for $10 and then let it expire, you can still redeem it for $10. Phew.) Well, at least that's how it works in Massachusetts; your mileage may vary.
Now let's get out there and save some money while having fun, shall we?
Karen,
I, too, am a HUGE "Groupon" person. I get a million different deals in my email box every day and absolutely love it. Some could say I'm addicted. ;) I did want to add that if people have buyer's remorse, there's a site called dealsgoround.com where you can sell them back to people who may want them! I've yet to use this site because I usually end up using everything I buy! Gotta love it!
