I can't stop thinking about that list of 101 Great Books. I've already confessed that there are more than a couple that this nerdy old English major never read. Now, let me admit that I started but never finished One Hundred Years of Solitude, but I still gave it a good, strong boldfacing. No, I couldn't keep track of everyone's names and it made me crazy. I absolutely loved Love in the Time of the Cholera, but this one was not even doable for me. In addition, there are two authors/books listed that I've never even heard of: Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart, and Leslie Marmon Silko, Ceremony.
OK, now I can sleep.
ooh chinua achebe's book is a good one. had to read it in one of my anthropology classes and one of my sociology classes.
