1. Yesterday was Pete's first soccer game as a real kindergartner. Andy coached and said Pete did great. At this point, they don't really play so much as just learn how to play. Their "games" look like a bunch of iron filings chasing a steel ball-bearing around. But they have fun. And Pete told me he does indeed want to do karate, so I'm glad about that.
2. This morning we went apple picking! Talk about your Good Clean Fun. Photos to come. (Yeah, right, add them to the list! No, I swear, I will, I will!)
3. Tomorrow is Steph's first art class. I hope it goes well! Both Nancy and another friend highly recommended this particular class and teacher, so here's hoping. Steph is so into art—and good at it, really—that she generally finds school and camp art classes B-O-R-I-N-G.
4. Speaking of tomorrow, guess who will finally have all 3 kids at school for the whole morning! Woo-Hoo! I'm heading straight for Costco. How very glamorous, huh?
5. Tuesday Steph and Pete have swimming lessons at a new pool, also recommended by Nancy. I found out Pete doesn't need a swim cap, which is a relief, as he balked at the mere mention.
6. Tuesday we also have an interview with a prospective babysitter! Please keep all fingers, toes, and other appendages crossed. I have absolutely no other leads and am getting very nervous.
