I made Beef and Sausage Meat Loaf with Mozzarella tonight, from a recipe that Mario Batali's father uses at his own restaurant. The only change I made to the recipe was that I used Whole Foods chicken sausage (herb and garlic flavor) in place of the regular sweet Italian sausage. I can't even remember the last time I used pork sausage for anything. And I did use just a scant 2 cups of basil—it seemed like an almost obscene amount! Anyhow, it came out absolutely yummy. Andy is excited to have it in sangwiches tomorrow or the next day.
