Enough with the Cake Already!

I forgot we had one more celebration here this week: Today is Pete's half-birthday. No, we don't really celebrate half-birthdays, but we do defrost the leftover birthday cake and eat it. So in honor of Pete being five and a half, we got to eat some more shark cake, which tasted just as good out of the deep freeze as it did back in April. This place we get their cakes is not only unbelievably creative with the decorating, but the cake is extra yummy as well. And freezes beautifully. And is huge, leaving plenty to freeze for the half-birthday. So. Now, no more cake until December. I mean it.

What a fun idea! I love the idea of saving the cake for the half birthday! Sure would be healthier than doing what we do -- keep it for three or four days until it's all eaten up. lol.
