Cheerful Julie Is Back!

What a difference a day makes! On Thursday Julie was sad and crabby, and her eye was all irritated and red. After just one day without the evil eye drops, she's back to normal! She's happy and playful, she went from napping 2–4 hours every afternoon since the surgery to skipping her nap entirely yesterday (well, that's not necessarily such a good thing, but still!), and her eye looks almost normal! She hasn't once needed to dab it with a tissue either, so the skin underneath her eye isn't so irritated anymore either. I'm so glad we happened to have that post-op appointment when we did, because it would never have occurred to me that the eye drops were actually causing the problem—I would have just assumed that she was taking a long time to heal up. And I would have continued to put those damn eye drops in her eye three times a day for three weeks.
