Pete lost his second tooth tonight! (And I can't locate his first tooth, damn! I was sure it was in an empty earrings box near Steph's empty earrings box with her five teeth in it.) At first he was really excited about the Tooth Fairy. He described his image of her in great detail: "She's about this big [hands about 6 inches apart], she has skin the color of Julie's, she has hair the color of mine in a big loop [gestures to show a high ponytail], she wears a sparkly blue dress, she has white wings, she has very high heels, she has a wand with a star on the end, she has stars all around her, and she's magic!" But by bedtime he was getting nervous, mainly along the lines of "What if I wake up and see her?" I tried my best to reassure him that no one has ever seen her—for all we know, she could be invisible!—and she would only come if he's asleep. He seemed so worried that I considered spilling the beans as I did with Steph, but I couldn't bear it. Anyhow, he's sleeping now. I just went in and swapped the tooth for a note and a buck.
