I'm having fun with the Baby Name Wizard. It's not surprising that names like Karen and Lisa peaked in the '60s and '70s. What I think is interesting are the names that were popular when my grandparents were born, then nearly disappeared for a couple of generations, and now are back in vogue. You know, names like Sophie and Max, that seem to belong to only babies and the very elderly. I don't know a single forty-something named Leo or Hannah or Abe or Madeleine/Madeline. Interesting. I love those old-fashioned names, probably because I have one myself.

My sister in laws name is Alice. I never thought anything of her name until she asked me If a ever met another Alice. I am still looking for another Alice. But, I still do not feel that it is an old persons name.
