Appetizer:
What job would you definitely not want to have?
Funeral director/"Restorative artist" - Maybe I've been watching too much "Six Feet Under," but no thanks.
Soup: Oprah calls and wants you to appear on her show. What would that day's show be about?
"Moms Who Blog"
Salad: Name 3 vegetables that you eat on a regular basis.
asparagus, cauliflower, cucumber
Main Course: If you were commissioned to rename your hometown, what would you call it?
Hampstead
Dessert: If you had a personal assistant, what kind of tasks would you have them to do?
I think she'd be more of a housekeeper. She'd appear whenever I needed her and then vanish as soon as she was done. She'd do all the cleaning—from the big stuff like the kitchen floor to the little stuff like unloading the dishwasher. She'd do all the dishes, too, for that matter, and all the laundry. She'd run all those annoying little errands, like going to the post office or MotoPhoto or the bank. I'd still like to do (most of) my own grocery shopping and cooking, though. I think what I need is a wife!
I would want a personal assistant to remember stuff. That seems to be my main job around here and quite frankly I'm tired of it. So let someone else remember to buy more peanut butter or pay the water bill or make the dentist appointment or buy the birthday present for the party to which they remembered to RSVP.
BTW, there is a Hampstead about 30 minutes from where I live. It's a nice little town.

Karen, you must check out http://realefun.blogspot.com/
She's got a blog-sitter this week, but should be back from holiday on Monday. She may change your mind about funeral directors.

I'd be a mortician/funeral director/medical examiner/coroner/whatever. Dead things don't bother me a lot. Just about all the faculty I deal with at the university are alive and I've come to this conclusion: the living are overrated.

"I think what I need is a wife!"
I'm with you! That is exactly what I need too.
