Today Rachel and I met for our annual outing to buy earrings for one another's April birthdays. We couldn't seem to schedule in a lunch this year, so we met at Peet's Coffee and Tea for coffee and tea (and almost obscenely delicious pastries) and then headed over to our favorite stretch of Union Street. We both ended up finding our hearts' ears' desires at Folklorica. Mine are long, thin slivers of silver overlaid with yellowish mother-of-pearl; the overall effect is a shiny flash of gold. (I tried to take a photo, but I couldn't seem to get it right.) Rachel got some swirly green and pink flowery dangles. We were both very pleased with our gifts and our morning of shopping and catching up.
