2. When Pete realized the other day that someday he'd be "Grandpa Pete," I said, "Alevei!" which is Yiddish for "It should happen to you!" (similar to saying "God willing!").
3. I can remember when toothpaste and Neosporin came in metal tubes that would crack as you rolled them up, and the painted labels would chip off. I was thinking of this when Stephanie got her ears pierced, because I remember putting Neosporin on my earrings the first few times I changed them after getting them pierced.
