OK, so I finally made the darn thing—but I messed up! The recipe is as follows:
6 cl di prosecco
4 cl di Aperol
cubetti di ghiaccio
spruzzo di selz o soda
fettina d'arancia
which comes out to this:
60 ml prosecco
40 ml Aperol
ice cubes
a spritz of seltzer or soda water
a thin slice of orange
So, the first wrong thing I did was swap the two main ingredients: I used 3 parts Aperol to 2 parts prosecco! Dumb! So I guess the color should be even lighter. I also didn't use the seltzer (Why do you need seltzer if you're using sparkling wine? Then again, who am I to question the Barbieri brothers?) or the orange slice. It went down way easy, and then went straight to my head—probably because I'm not used to drinking sparkling wine. I won't make another tonight, but I will try it again tomorrow. So far I still greatly prefer Campari.
I like the color!

You know Karen, I love your choice of "random" subjects. I know there is a theme generally: food, drink, netflix, music, books, kids, cool products - I must tell you - it's well-done and I always enjoy reading the blurbs.

Karen,
Thanks for the ingredients. My ex-girlfriend made it for me all the time. and missed the great taste. The best bar to taste the real sprizz is in Treviso (near Venice) in a bar called SHIRAZ. Great bar, great food, great music and people and the best sprizz in the world!!

Weird, I happend to find your site by searching for sprizz. We make it with 3 parts Aperol to 1 part proseco, and garnish with an orange. We learned about the drink in Venice, but the best one we had was in Rome, and that's the recipe the bartender gave us. It's really tasty.
Glad to hear others are enjoying this tasty drink!
