I just got a new CD, Casey Dienel's "Wind-up Canary," and I can't decide whether I hate it or not. You can download a track here.

The first song's got a Ricky Lee Jones vibe to it, that's pretty good. She has a voice strong enough and interesting enough to not get lost in the music.
I think the key is to listen to only one song at a time, as they come up randomly on iPod/iTunes. Listening to the whole CD straight through was a bad idea.
i COULDN'T DISAGREE WITH YOU MORE. CASEY DIENEL'S ALBUM IS ONE OF THE BEST FEMALE ARTIST ALBUM'S I LISTENED TO IN 2006. HER ABILITY TO WRITE GREAT HOOK'S IS INCREDIBLE AND HER NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY TALENT SHINES THRU. AFTER LISTENING TO HER LATEST SONG "BETTER IN MANHATTAN" I WAS HUMMING IT ALL DAY LONG. I THINK YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO CASEY AGAIN.
