* "First day of school! First day of school!"
As of 8:35 this morning, I now have a fourth-grader and a second-grader; tomorrow I will also have a last-year-in-preschool-er. It was hard to get any worthwhile feedback from Steph and Pete, so I'll have to assume that no news is good news. They each got placed with a few good pals, although Steph is still not with her favorite friend, despite my begging letters to the principal.Tomorrow morning I get a few hours to myself, at long last! Yee-ha!
Now I have the entire script going through my head. I still think my favorite line is, "Fishy in mah hair, fishy in mah hair!"

It's a great script. I still chuckle at certain parts.
My kids have never seen the opening sequence when the mother and all the other eggs are eaten by the barracuda. There is absolutely no reason for it (except that Disney movies seem to feel obligated to include the death of a parent) -- she's never mentioned again in the movie! Marlin can be overprotective just because of Nemo's tiny fin, not because of what happened. So I forward to the second section which begins with "First day of school!"

"It was hard to get any worthwhile feedback from Steph" - huh?? Did you trade her in over the summer for a different model??
