On the way to school this morning, Julie spotted—with surprise and delight—a bulldozer driving down the street. It reminded me of when Pete was about 4 years old and positively obsessed with construction vehicles. One day I pointed out a bulldozer driving down the street. Pete was amazed. I said, "I wonder why he's not at his construction site." Pete responded, quite logically, "He's probably going home to have lunch with his Mama." That pretty much sums up Pete at that age: A binary world consisting of trucks and Mama.
