No, not the Indian tea, although I'm a big fan of that kind of chai. From Wikipedia:
In Judaism, the Chai symbol consists of the letters of the Hebrew alphabet Het (ח) and Yod (י). In the Hebrew language, the word chai (חי) spelled by these two letters means "living," and is related to the word for "life," chaim.... There have been various mystical numerological speculations about the fact that according to the system of gematria, the letters of chai add up to 18 (see "Jewish use of the Tetragrammaton" and "Lamedvavniks"). For this reason, 18 is a lucky number in Judaism....
So, why am I telling you this? It's not Wiki Wednesday, after all! The reason is that 18 years ago today, Andy and I got married. Happy Anniversary to us!
Congratulations!

Is 'mazel tov' appropriate here? Congratulations and best wishes I'm confident with anyway! All the best to you both and wishing you at least thirty-six more.
