Spammers?

I don't get a huge amount of spam, and usually it's easily recognizable by the "from:" field, like "Services Bhilwara" or "restraint freedom." Lately, though, I've been getting spam from "people" I feel I just might have known at some point in my life: Eugene Minsky, Simmy Fox, Holger Methe, Katharine Cummings, Lee Andromache, Roger Schneider, Meggy Vargas, Arnold Katz, Flo Bowden . . . Didn't I go to Wesleyan with at least half these people?!
