1. I never showed you my new specs:
They're kind of pinkish-purplish, but Steph says they're brownish. I rarely wear them, but that's just because my new contacts are working out so well!
2. Speaking of which, my contacts have been fine, after all that. And do you know what's cool? The way they make contacts for astigmatism is that the prescription indicates which position on the eye (imagine an "o'clock" scenario) the astigmatism occurs. Then the contact itself is "weighted"; that is, it's thicker on one edge than on the other (like a prism), so the thick part eventually drops to the bottom, thereby accurately positioning the part of the prescription that treats the astigmatism. Cool, huh?
3. I usually forget to wear my reading glasses, which I guess means that I don't really need them much. Yet. But damn! They're pretty.
Oh, they're lovely!
See, now, I think that I might be able to tolerate contacts if I didn't need the toric ones. As it is, the combination of my dry eyes and the feel of those damn lenses moving a little and then settling back into position every. single. blink. was enough to drive me insane.

Mir, I haven't had that problem at all. When I first put them in every morning, it takes a few seconds for them to shift to the proper position, but then they stay put. I wonder if you need to try a different brand? Mine are Bausch & Lomb SofLens 66 Toric.
