I've had my L.L. Bean "wicked good slippers" for many years. There's nothing like them for toasty warm feet in these New England winters. But when the weather started turning cold this year, I couldn't find them. I looked in all the closets, under all the beds and other furniture, down in the basement, everywhere. I asked Andy and the kids to help me look (I might have even offered a reward), but they didn't turn up. I suffered through months of cold barefoot mornings, asking every 8–10 minutes if anyone had seen my slippers. Nothing.
Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and order a new pair. They arrived this morning and I put them on and reveled in their glorious snuggliness, inviting the kids to join me in my celebration. I wore them all morning, happy and warm. As I was getting ready to take the kids out, I gazed lovingly at my slippers once more before taking them off. I said, "Oh, I'm so happy I have slippers again!" At this point Julie said, "Those look just like the ones behind the door in your office." Sure enough, there they were. I could have killed her (only she's that cute). So back into the box went the new ones, and back on my feet went the old ones.
On rare occasions, I am tempted to have a child JUST for the comedic value. KIDDING!
Don't have to, seems to be adequate amusement with the kids around me (belonging to siblings, friends and co-workers).

Well of course the best way to find something is to replace it. If I were you, though, I would have kept the new pair, too. Nothing wrong with having a backup!

Wow...frugal, too! You've almost eradicated the negative points for the coffee issue. ;)

You made my day! I gave a loud chuckle and Henry came in to see what was so funny.
