Well, that didn't work out very well, did it? First I wrote all the entrants' names on post-its and spread them out on the bedroom rug. Then we couldn't find the cats anywhere—and they're indoor cats, so you'd think it would be easy. We finally found them, and Andy deposited them in front of the array of post-its:
The reason I thought this would work so well is that they normally sprawl out on whatever new piece of paper is on the ground, be it a magazine or a kid's drawing or a bill. Not this time: They fled.
So we found them again, but they were spooked and wouldn't play. So I decided to put the post-its in a circle—with a piece of cat food on each one—and plunk the cats down in the center. Andy thought it would be fairest if we let each cat get one piece of cat food, and those would be the two winners.
Mr. Jones chose Marianne, though you can't see the writing on the post-it in this photo:
And Gracie chose Deborah:
So, congrats to our two BAFAB winners, and remind me never to involve the cats in a contest again!
With this fun story and the great pictures, we're all winners. :)
