Deb C

Please, please read "The Time Travelers Wife." I read it a few years ago and have recommended it countless times. Easy to pick up and put down and not nearly as long as its many pages would lead you to believe. I was quite excited when I heard the Brad and Jenn (yes, Pitt and Aniston) bought the movie rights to the book, but since they've split, God knows what will happen, so read!!!

OMG. The "Time Traveler's Wife" is one of my all-time favorites! I put off reading it for a long time too. It was one of the few books that I started to re-read the moment I finished it. (I really hope it doesn't get made into a movie.)I think it's still on my nightstand.

I know, I know, I keep hearing that from everyone. But I just never find myself eager to pick up a book that I know is going to take some work to get into.... I will try to move it up to the middle of the pile, how's that?

I can only imagine that your copy of Catch-22 is surrounded by bears, because there can't be any other reasonable explanation for why you're avoiding it.

Another blogger sent it to me when I first revealed that I'd never read it. I can't explain it. It's one of those books that I feel as though I've read because I can make allusions to it, but I haven't. I know I need to read it, and I will. I promise.

Check my book review category. I know that you will find Blessing of a Skinned Knee and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Loved Blessing...you'll see we did it as a parent reading group from my son's 5th grade class after the teacher recommended it. In the same genre, I would recommend The Price of Privilege.

From your bottom of pile list, I loved Time Traveler's Wife, Middlesex and Family History.

As for the Tipping Point...I'm clearly a connector...what are you?

I really enjoyed Heat, even though a lot of it was excerpted in the New Yorker.

I just could not get into Time Traveler's Wife when I tried to read it. I finally listened to it as an audibook this year and enjoyed it. I may actually try to reread it!
