I really trust Click and Clack, but I don't know if I dare try to re-train myself to use my rear-view mirrors in a new way. The part about it taking some getting used to makes me nervous.

There was something about this in the AAA magazine some years ago, and we took the plunge. We were quickly converted. It does take a little getting used to, but not as much as you'd think. And it's true -- no more blind spots! I now do it whenever I drive a car (much to my mother's annoyance).

Hmmm, maybe I'll give it a whirl. Not literally, I hope.

My new mini-van (ugh, swore I would never get one) has those little cameras built in or whatever so when you back up, it comes up on the GPS screen.
I'd still rather use the left side mirror and line up with the side of the driveway.
