OK, one last post on "Ratatouille" and then I promise I'm done. Here's what Michael Ruhlman and Tony Bourdain have to say about it.
And, for the record, I never said it wasn't a great foodie movie—it is, and I had exactly the same reaction as Bourdain during the "ratatouille epiphany" scene—I just have trouble with the sight of a restaurant kitchen teeming with an entire freaking colony of rats. <shudder>
Now if it were Gordon Liddy, he'd have a childhood food memory like Anton Ego, except his would happen in the kitchen with the rats.

We just saw it yesterday & loved, loved, loved it. I'm not particularly skeeved out by rats, so the fact that it was rats, well, it didn't really bother me. I felt pretty silly tearing up at the critic's reaction to the ratatouille, but after reading about others doing the same, it must be a foodie thing!

At that moment, I glanced over the 3 kids to Andy and saw him reacting the same way too! It was a perfect moment.
