I am not going to buy another book ever again ever in my life.
Well, there are a few exceptions; read the whole hilarious thing here. (Via Doppelganger)

Now THAT was funny. But even with all the exceptions, codicils, and caveats, buying books is one thing I'll never say "never" to. I may not buy another one for the next couple of weeks, but I can't commit any more than that.
I'm vowing to stop buying books in hardcover that I never get around to reading until they're already out in paperback anyhow! Grrr, it makes me crazy when I do that!
Albert Einstein said, "Reading, after a certain age, diverts the mind too much from its creative pursuits. Any man who reads too much and uses his own brain too little fall into lazy habits of thinking." --quoted in Tim Ferriss's "The 4-Hour Workweek.
I think I'm cured of my book-buying/book-reading addiction.
I really SHOULD say I'll never buy another book because I absolutely have no more room for more books! I always read them, that's not the issue. But my bookshelves runneth over, the spare room runneth over, the rented storage unit runneth over...you get the picture. What I need to do is get RID of a bunch of books. Or some books. Or maybe one or two...(Or move into a bigger house with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in every room!)

I'll NEVER stop reading books -- and I probably won't stop buying them, either.... Regardless of what Einstein or anyone else says.

Maybe you could institute a "one book in, one book out" rule. Then at least you won't be ADDING to your problem.
