Yesterday was shaping up to be almost unmanageably hectic, so I was delighted to wake up to heavy rain, which eliminated both Pete's and Julie's soccer games and postponed the annual Halloween Window-Painting Contest until today.
Today dawned sunny and blustery, so we set out with our paint and brushes to Steph and Pete's assigned spots, coincidentally at one of our favorite ice cream shops! The event is open only to third through eighth graders, and Pete was thrilled to finally be able to participate.
Here are the artists hard at work:
And here are the finished masterpieces:
Did you guess that Steph would choose to represent a girl getting candy and Pete would go for the Grim Reaper in a graveyard with a zombie hand reaching up from the ground?
Is that Cabot's? If so, did you guys paint last year? And, if so, do you remember a bespectacled brunette with one happy child and one unhappy child peering out the window at you guys? I'll bet we've crossed paths and didn't even know it.
Nice new picture up on the right, by the way.
