This is exciting (for me, anyhow): All the old Sesame Street videos are online now! The site is still in beta, and I'm not yet able to find my two favorites—ducklings crossing the school courtyard; little boy with something like muscular dystrophy goes biking (or running?) with his family and says "I feel like I'm flying!"— both of which used to bring me to tears every. single. time.
I have tried to explain to my peeps about the Uh HUH Uh HUh Uh Huh COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW.
uh HUH uh HUH uh HUH RAAAADDDIOOOOOOO.
They didn't know who the aliens were!

I had a deprived childhood (I'm depraved on account of...) and didn't watch Sesame Street. Where shall I start? Gimme linx man. If I ever get tired of playing that infernal game from your previous post I'll drug up on Sesame Street. (That'll be me on the corner of Sesame and Poppy with multicolored track marks on my arms.)

Also, most of the old favorite songs (We Just Love to Brush, Put Down the Duckie) are found easily on Youtube.

Sometimes I want to get away
Off someplace where I can play
All by myself
Well, why not?
Sometimes I just need the time
To think about stuff while I'm
All by myself
I do it a lot
Well, why not?

I also really liked Marissa Tomei singing A Little Bit (At The Beginning).
Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers are really powerful memories for me, both from my own childhood and also from when my kids were small.

I'm waiting for the " La-dee-dah-dee-dum, la-dee-d-dah-dee-dum, what's the name of that song?" number!
So when do they do this for "The Electric Company" and "Zoom"?
