The air's so heavy
1. When did you last get lost?
I get lost so often, I don't even make a note of it anymore. I just always make sure I have plenty of gas in the car. I used to depend mightily on my map book, but now I have the super-duper Google Maps function on my iPhone. I don't mind getting lost unless I am late for something. Hate being late.
2. Have you ever been flying?
Like, in a plane? Yes, many times, although not recently. Once, about 20 years ago, Andy and I went soaring. We were in a tiny little plane with a pilot. Our plane had no engine—it was being pulled by a cable attached to the back of another little plane that had an engine. When we were airborne, the cable was detached, and we soared for a good long time, floating on air currents until we landed safely. I found it exciting but claustrophobic—we three were really jammed into the little seat in our plane, with an awfully close roof.
3. Who do you always listen to?
You mean whom. I always listen to my inner grammarian.
4. When does the day feel long?
Particularly during school vacation week, the late afternoon seems to drag. Then, before you know it, Andy comes home and it's cocktail hour!
5. Friday fill-in: Are we _____ ?
Are we done with school vacation week yet? Enough, already.
