Via Twitter I "met" SimpleMom, whose blog is all about tips for simplifying our lives—even if we live with kids (who, as any parent knows, do anything but simplify things). A few weeks ago, she ran a contest, and the winner was ... me! The prize was just so cool: a personalized sterling-silver necklace from jewelry-maker Lisa Leonard. The necklace was supposed to include just two two hammered squares (in addition to the freshwater pearl), so I asked Lisa if I could purchase a third, and she threw it in for free! It arrived yesterday, and I'm pleased as punch:

Beautiful necklace - and I have a necklace from Lisa as well! I asked her to make me one that I will one day pass on to my son (as a keychain.)
