To cap off the Kindergarteners' ocean unit (yes, that's why we went to the Aquarium), today was the Ocean Creature Feature! Julie was in charge of researching the stonefish. The what? I'd never heard of it. Turns out it's a pretty cool creature that can camouflage itself on the ocean floor (it looks just like a stone, not surprisingly) and has poisonous spines that can even kill a human! It's the most poisonous fish in the ocean. Who knew?
We are fast approaching the end of our last year with the greatest Kindergarten teacher on the planet. I am so grateful that all three of my kids got to spend a year with her! Thanks for everything, Susan!
