Just so you know, Steph has requested that I stop blogging about her. Well, the potentially embarrassing stuff, anyhow. Which is a major bummer, because I was kind of counting on the trials and tribulations of her advance to middle school next fall to provide me with a sizable chunk of content for this blog. Mais non. So, unless you hear otherwise, assume that she likes some boy who does/doesn't like her back, that she does/doesn't like some boy who likes her, that I won't let her do whatever everyone else is doing, that puberty is just as painful for me to observe from close range as it was to experience first-hand, and, mainly, that I just don't "get it." In the meantime, here's hoping Pete and Julie can keep the "Kids Say and Do the Darnedest Things" boat afloat for a while longer.
When I had my daughter relatively late in life (31) the thought occurred to me that she would be going through puberty as I was going through menopause.
After my vomit blog hit the local newspaper, my daughter declared that I was ruining her life and that I should stop blogging about her.
My blog today is about her and her best friend. She approves of this one. But there's no mention of vomit.

31 is LATE in life? Sheesh. I had Steph when I was 34.5, Pete when I was 37, and Julie when I was 39.5.

Yeah, I didn't think having kids at 31 was late in life either! Our kids were born when I was 32 and 34. I considered that young because my parents were in their 40's when they had me.
