I'm proclaiming TGIF in a big way today, as I just returned from the UPS Store, where I sent off the second cookbook manuscript to the author—a little earlier than anticipated, even! I've been really cranking on this all week, and I'm finally done. Of course, in the meantime, the first manuscript has come back from the author, so now I have quite a bit of work ahead of me to get it ready to go back to the publisher (and then the same thing in a few weeks with the second one). But for the first time since school let out, I feel confident that I'm going to meet my deadlines. Go me!
In other work news, next Wednesday will be my last mind-meld session with Andy's outgoing bookkeeper; after that I'm on my own. Yes, I can always call or email her with questions, but I'm hoping I don't have to bother her too often. I'm still feeling very much in over my head, but at least I know a little more than when I started.
I have earned myself a relaxing weekend, beginning with a cocktail right now. Barkeep?
Congratulations on cranking out that manuscript. Out of curiosity, have you written another cookbook?

Thanks! I have never written a cookbook; I'm copyediting two cookbooks by the same author.
