1. I don't like David Brooks, but his description of Sarah Palin as "a fatal cancer to the Republican party" seems right on the money to me. His neocon cronies must be pissed off, though, even if they're thinking the same thing.
2. This video, "Donna Brazile Is Not Going To The Back Of The Bus," takes forever to load, but be patient. It's exhilarating.
3. Anne Lamott figured out what's missing from this election: Molly Ivins.
4. Wonkette live-blogs the best part of last night's town-hall meeting—the part that everyone missed who was not tuned to C-SPAN (including me, as I was on PBS): After it was over, the McCains left, and the Obamas stuck around for a half-hour, just talking to people in the audience. Wow. (Skip down to about 10:40.)
I'm feeling bad for the Palin e-mail hacker guy. He shouldn't have done it, but boy, the penalty if he's found guilty is STIFF. And he's just a 20-year-old kid. Looks like a nice boy and all (and hey, she should have a harder password. It was probably "Todd" or something).

Did you see when Obama stuck out his hand for a handshake from McCain? McCain just deflected it to Cindy. I would love to have heard what if anything he said to explain that!

Think again Karen. I love David Brooks, he's the guy I can toss to the Republicans who surround me to say--he's one of your kind and here's what he's saying. couldn't fight the fight without him. (And he spoke at our school several weeks ago and was phenomenal.)
