Cliff and I voted this morning, along with a neighbor. We arrived at our polling place at 7:00 A.M. and were finished voting at 9:15.

Ran into a few neighbors, met some other neighbors we didn't know.

All in all, a very satisfying experience. I especially liked the part where I got to press the Obama/Biden button!

I got in line to vote about 7:10 . . . and waited for about an hour! You'd think I was living in Ohio, rather than in deep blue Alameda County, California. But now I've got that off my plate. Fingers crossed, folks.

I voted, too. I crossed my party lines (Libertarian) and voted for Obama (even though he is going to "take away my guns" -- lawyers will settle that one). I am proud of my vote. I just wish one of two things:
1) That Russ Feingold was running
or
2) That Russ Feingold was the VP selection.

Ironically, I have said for a VERY LONG time, Russ Feingold was the only candidate, from either main party, that would cause me to cross party lines....I was wrong!

Now, originally, according to the U.S. Constitution, there was no VEEP selection. The LOSER was supposed to serve as VEEP. I am pondering how interesting that would be....after Obama DOES win this election, and then has to have McCain as his VP....that would be amusing!
