I'm feeling so very frazzled by this election that I've coined (on Twitter) a new entry for the DSM: Pre-Election Stress Disorder. I've even suggested that this whole election polling business is funded by the pharmaceutical companies who make blood pressure meds. (It could happen.)
All of the polls show Obama clearly in the lead. All of the articles, analyses, maps, statistics, endorsements, and op-eds unequivocably name him The Winner on Tuesday.
But I can't rest.
What if?
What if the racists come out of their closets? What if the Undecideds all go for McCain? What if the touch-screen machines are rigged? What if the first-time voters are turned away from their polling places for unlawful reasons? What if we have to suffer through another 4 years of god-awful policies and arrogant law-making? What if Sarah Palin ever sets foot in the White House? Oh. My. God. I am not going to make it through these next 48 hours.
Obviously Karen, I am with you. Since I'm even dreaming about this election, it never leaves my mind. Let's hope none of those scenarios you listed happen tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure a co-worker who voted early voted for McCain. I. Can't. Even. Look. At. Him.

My biggest worry is voting problems and "irregularities". But I just try to picture Palin crying out "I'm melting! Melting!" and then just disappearing! ROFL.

This election isn't going to be close enough for any of that kind of stuff to matter.

what if the post office was unable to get my son's absentee ballot from Seattle to San Jose, CA in 15 days so he won't be able to vote in his first ever Presidential election....? I/we are crushed, angry and worried about conspiracy.
