Merry Christmas to everyone out there who is celebrating today! Hope Santa was good to you.
Everyone knows* that all good Jews go to the movies and eat Chinese food on Christmas, right? Well, today I am a partially bad Jew, because I'm home working while Andy and the kids are at the movies (seeing "Bedtime Stories," I believe—and since I don't care much for Adam Sandler, that's fine with me). But, mark my words, I will not miss out on the Chinese food for dinner tonight! We're having it at Barbara and Jerry's house, so we can see Jo and the kids one last time before they fly back to London.
*What, you didn't know that? There's even a song about it, silly:
karen,
loved the video and the lyrics. Have you seen this one?

so sad the snow is melting, but nice to have a day off from everything just the same. Christmas day makes me miss the blue laws, when every Sunday was stores closed! I remember my dad teaching me to drive in the South Shore Mall parking lot because it was empty on Sundays...no more. I am all for state-imposed holidays...and you?
Have a great vacation week and let's hope for snow DURING vacation, not during school!! It's one of the many things that changes as you become a parent, isn't it...the things you long for as a child become the things you dread as an adult.
I know you too will enjoy walking in the mild weather...in the spirit of this season, namaste.

We're a mixed marriage, so we had our Chinese food on Christmas Eve.
