OK, I'm not going to ram my Obama-love down your throats at every moment now (although I want to), but I do encourage you to check out the wonderful inauguration photos at The Big Picture, the award-winning photo site of Boston.com. How about #10, with all those folks in Nairobi gathered around a TV smaller than even the one in our living room (which is pretty small)? Or #19, an American soldier weeping with joy? Or #40, which I think was on the front page of yesterday's Times, and is just such a beautiful moment captured forever. I love the photos of Bush departing (and not just because he's departing—really!) and the images of people all over the world witnessing this historic event. Go look.
Wonderful photos! Those people around the Washington Monument (#3) look like ants. My daughter said that every inch around that monument was covered with people. I love the photo that was on the front page of the NY Times (#40). It's still on my coffee table and I can't stop looking at it.
