I'm getting a kick out of The Rosa Parks of Blogs. It's nothing but a collection of statement found on the web that use that type of construction, "X is the Y of Z." You'll find the Kate Winslet of trees, the Courtney Love of yards, the Scottie Pippen of motherhood, the Yoko Ono of Saturday morning cartoons, and so on. I can't imagine how this guy finds all these examples, because you certainly can't Google for 'em.
Anyhow, I've decided that I'm the Stephen King of bloggers, for the following reasons:
- I'm quite prolific, if I do say so myself—I've been blogging for almost 5 years (which is a long time in the blogosphere) and haven't missed a day ever since I decided to stop skipping days, whenever that was (a few years ago, anyhow).
- I write in a casual, colloquial style.
- I like to write about New England, kids, and the Red Sox.
- I imagine it's a little scary for people to get a glimpse of what's going on inside my brain.
- I make millions doing this. Oh, wait....
I'm the Seinfeld of bloggers. I offer my opinion on every trivial thing, but ultimately the blog is about nothing.

Maybe those millions are a little delayed in coming. But you may have the wrong person. You have never scared me at all while Stephen King has scared me to death.

That may be why Wife Swap wants you.

Yes, Debbie, he's scary in the SCARY way, but I'm often told I'm scary in the "I can't believe what goes through your head" way.
