Well, that's encouraging. I'm 85 pages in and finding the very disjointed narrative almost impossible to follow. There are some impressive passages, but I haven't emitted so much as a wan chuckle. (And I'm a David Foster Wallace fan!) Maybe the database will help. Thanks for that link!


I find myself in Nancy's camp, although there were a few places that I also laughed out loud. DFW sure knows his prescription drugs. I have been sidetracked by a great police procedural (my weakness) but hope to be back on the IJ train before long.


This sounds painful!


Rather late to the game, I ordered my copy today. I couldn't resist any longer.
