For the bazillionth year in a row, we spent a fun, exhausting day at the Lancaster Fair today. We did all the usual stuff—ride rickety rides, give cash to carnies for junky prizes, eat fried dough, feed baby goats, gamble away our life savings on the quarters machine, and so on. We also added two new activities:
1. Way up: The kids and I rode the ferris wheel! It was fun! I don't know why I'd been afraid to do it before. The view was spectacular. (Photos and videos currently held hostage on iPhone—forgot to email them to myself before we got back to the house, where there's no AT&T service, and forgot to bring cord to sync iPhone directly to MacBook.)
2. Even wayer up: Andy, Pete, and Steph rode in a real helicopter! They loved it!
It was a hot, sunny day, and we came home positively cooked. Good night.
