I hereby vow to you that within the next week, I will post at least one new recipe, at least one new book review, and at least one new movie review. It's the least I can do for my loyal readers who have been patiently slogging through my recent spate of dreck posts.
I also plan to talk about some "green" initiatives I've taken on around the house. Nothing big (no solar-powered water heater, no re-purposed shower water), but every little bit counts, right?
But first ... Julie's birthday is Monday and I have not yet done a thing about it—no presents, no party, no nothing. That's OK, next time she turns 8, I'll ... oh, wait. Um, and Andy is sorta kinda having a REALLY BIG birthday next Wednesday—I might want to do something about that, too. And it appears that our 21st anniversary is also coming up next Friday.... Yikes, if I can get 10 words a day up here next week, that will seem pretty damn impressive to me.
Stick around; I'll try to make it interesting.
Your last posts haven't been dreck (which is a word my dad always used, but said it meant sh*t). I enjoy reading whatever you write!!

I think Andy and I have the same big birthday coming up. Mine is this Saturday. Yikes. My fellow band mom friends threw me a really great surprise party last night! I hope you come up with something special for both Andy and Julie...No pressure there! And happy anniversary, in advance.

In German, dreck just means "dirt," really, but I too understood the Yiddish to be yet more "earthy." Anyhow, I don't think your posts have been dreckig.
