We are back home a day earlier than expected from our long ski weekend. We headed north on New Year's Eve and had terrible driving conditions almost the whole way. Andy said he'd never seen so many cars off the road and in ditches. We witnessed at least two spin-outs. Very slippery roads and lousy visibility—we were very happy to arrive all in one piece.
Yesterday the kids got up early and skied all day with their grandparents. They had a blast. Today they skied all morning, but then we decided to head back home because the weather forecast for tomorrow was looking pretty bad. I think it was a good idea because it's still snowing (albeit lightly) and very windy.
All I can say is that there better be school on Monday! It's been a nice and relaxing vacation, but I'm ready to get back to our normal schedule.
I hate going anywhere on scary roads. I get TOO nervous. Nice that the skiing was good, but even better that you made it home before more bad weather hit.

Back to school tomorrow. Hooray! I'd better check the forecast.

We've had blizzard conditions all day here in Connecticut, although I don't think anyone is officially calling it a blizzard. If this is headed your way, you were smart to come home!
