Today was the longest, most exhausting day in history. The whole family went to the mall. I'll let you absorb that for a moment before I go on.
We were on a quest to fulfill all our Bat Mitzvah clothing needs. Specifically, we each need something for the Friday night before as well as the day of.
Andy is all set—guys are so lucky!
Me, I have nothing, still. Sigh. I didn't even look today; I'd prefer to do it alone. (But When? is the question.)
Steph already has her Saturday dress and shoes, which we purchased a while back. Today we found her Friday night dress. She is all done.
Pete got a blue blazer, non-cargo khakis, and a tie. He still needs a button-down shirt (no size 10 as far as the eye could see today) and shoes. Oh, and a belt and dark socks. He suffered the most of anyone today. Oh, the humanity!
Julie got two dresses and shoes! She is the easiest person to shop for on the planet. She is agreeable and looks great in everything. The best part was when we went to check out, her dresses were marked down to $29 (from $49) and $9 (from $29)! Such a deal!
I had two drinks as soon as I got home, but I am still not recovered. My feet hurt. My ears are ringing. I'm tired.
I feel your pain. I hate the mall. I haven't been there during the Christmas season for decades. Now isn't too bad--but I still don't enjoy it.

Why are you not doing this online? Just order a bunch of different options, let people try them on at home and mail back the rejects.
L.L.Bean has button down boys shirts in size 10. http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?categoryId=61398&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=503583&feat=503583-tn&cat4=503368
Happy shopping!

You are a brave woman. There's not enough alcohol for a trip like that. I'm off to the dreaded mall today to do some exchanges that I've been putting off since Christmas.

Please tell me that Pete is not going to where dark socks with khakis.

That's brutal, but at least it was productive! :)

If his shoes are dark, can't he wear dark socks with khakis?
