Then I decided to push my luck and try Linksys. Not only do I have the previously mentioned Samuel Garcia problem with my router, but the wireless adapter they sold me isn't working on Andy's Windows machine. First I got a woman who said that she would call me back in 2 minutes. I waited a half hour and then tried again. This time I got a guy who was rather impatient with me and my problems. He said that the Samuel Garcia thing was a known problem and would be fixed "soon." As for the adapter, that's also a known problem and would be fixed "soon." I asked them why they sold me these items if there were known problems with them, but he did not have an answer for me.
I told Andy we should offer free room and board to some IT guy who can fix all this stuff without thinking twice. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but enough is enough.
I would hate that!! Only one drink? :)
