Today Pete "graduated" from elementary school! Fortunately at our school, all that means is that they count down to noon and then spray Silly String in the air:
I also sent Pete to school with his hair spray-painted neon green! See, I'm fun!
This evening our friends in the neighborhood had a party for the entire fifth grade class and their families! The weather was perfect, and everyone had a blast.
So now I am officially the parent of an eighth grader, a sixth grader, and a third grader. Imagine that.
Felicidades!!!

What a great neighborhood! Congratulations to Pete! They never made any kind of a big deal about "graduating" from elementary to junior high to high school when I was a kid. But it really is a big deal, and it's got to be uplifting (and encouraging) for the kids to know they've achieved something special along the way.

Woo hoo!!!! That looks like fun! Although that silly string is a major pain to clean up. Better at school than at your house, eh?
