Well, that was a swell 12-hour vacation, wasn't it? You guessed it, this morning I got a project in my inbox, and I accepted it. But have no fear, it's a shortie, and I didn't even look at it once today. Instead, Julie and I made paper beads from a kit that she's been sitting on since Hanukkah, and later Pete and I watched the World Cup (well, I was kind of reading, but we were sitting together and the TV was on...). Reading? Yes, I'm reading! It's Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson, recommended to me by (I think) Steve. So far, so good.
Pete also got those two teeth pulled today, and he was a real trouper about it. He said it wasn't as bad as he'd anticipated. And they charged "only" $190 (when I made the appointment, they had prepared me for nearly twice that). He had oatmeal and a smoothie for dinner and should be back to crunchy foods tomorrow.
We got our first letter from Steph today! Everything is "awesome" at camp, as it should be. Yay!
I will probably take a look at my new project tomorrow, but it was very nice having a day off for the first time in a long while.
