So, you may have heard a rumor that we actually watched one of those DVDs that came from Netflix last April—it's true! This one was "Ghost Town," and it's been so long that I can't for the life of me remember who recommended it to me, but thanks to whoever that was.
If I tell you that it's about a guy who can see dead people, then you're going to think of "The Sixth Sense," and if you're anything like me, you're going to lie awake in bed with the lights on for several nights in a row and be scared shitless that you'll see a corpse every time you get up to pee. So instead I will tell you that if you liked "Heaven Can Wait," then you'll like this. That's right, it's a romantic comedy! Where someone can see dead people! It's not even the teensiest bit scary, I promise you. We even let the kids watch this one (although in truth they caught only bits and pieces).
In fact, it's really funny. Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear, and Tea Leoni are all in top form. We laughed out loud quite a few times. It's also very touching, in that romantic-comedy kind of way, and I thought about the characters last night long after a normal non-insomniac would have been sleeping. It's not life-changing, but I'm very glad I saw it.
I really liked this movie too as did Luis and the kids. I think the title is so misleading though. I loved the Ricky Gervais character.

You know, I meant to mention that in my review! I agree: REALLY bad title.

We watched this last night because of your review, and we enjoyed it too. It took us a little while to get into it, though. It was a sweet story.
