We're back from our weekend, and for the first time ever (hard to believe, but true), the whole family was up there together! It was us 5, Andy's parents, Andy's sister and daughter (both in from London), and her son (who's been here for a month or two getting ready to start at Berklee in January).
We had a great weekend. Everyone skied except for me and Andy; we stayed back at the house and just lazed around and ate and did a jigsaw puzzle and read. I had absolutely no work hanging over my head, so I finally got a chance to just relax. And eat some more. (We always eat a lot up there.)
Our nephew Al took Pete and Julie outside to play in the snow, and they ended up building a very impressive igloo next to the deck. I was skeptical, but it worked!
Al wanted to sleep in it, but we put the kibosh on that idea fast since the weather forecast was for warmer temps and rain overnight.
I came to the White mountains many yaers ago on holiday ( when I had money and no kids)I would dearly love to return but its impossible at the moment - but one day I will get there.
