Hey, guess who's been married for 30 YEARS! Me and Andy, that's who! Hardly seems possible (since we think we're still 30 years old...), but there you go. On the day-of, we played hooky and spent the day together—lunch out, a movie, watching Julie's volleyball game, etc. Way more fun than going to work!
Then this past weekend we went up to Ogunquit—yes, just the two of us!—and had a great time. It was the annual OgunquitFest, which includes all kinds of fun stuff like a craft tent and classic car show and wine tasting and a haunted house (no thank you!). Ogunquit goes all out for Halloween—pretty much every establishment had really creative decorations; here's just a couple of the fun and spooky things we saw:
We had dinner at Walkers Maine, which was wonderful in every way. I saw a review that said "Feels like home, tastes like heaven," and that pretty well sums it up. The main dining room has a warm and comfortable but still upscale-feeling atmosphere, and every bite of our food was swoon-worthy. There was a small private party for a wedding in the back room, right next to where we were seated, and it felt so sweet to congratulate the bridge and groom as we celebrated our own milestone! It definitely felt like the special night out we were hoping for.
And now it's back to real life. I have a ton of work to get done in order to leave plenty of time to watch the Red Sox win yet another World Series! I'll be watching from my living room couch with Andy on Tuesday night and from my seat at Fenway with Steph on Wednesday night! Steph and I were at Game 1 of the ALCS, which was the only game we dropped to the Astros, so we are definitely ready for a win.
I really enjoyed living vicariously through your anniversary. My own 30th is still a few years off, because I waited until I was done with toilet-training before getting married. Hugs to you both.

Happy 30th! I'm going to see "A Star is Born" soon. I just saw "The Old Man and the Gun." I wasn't impressed. There are many interesting movies out right now!

Congratulations on your 30th! We're going to hit 14 in December, which I'm sure seems like baby steps to you at this point.:) I really want to see A Star is Born, but the husband isn't so much into musicals.
I think y'all visit the mountains in Vermont fairly regularly? We've been contemplating a trip ourselves, so I'd love to hear what you think is worth visiting. Your recommendations for Boston a few years ago were great. :)

We have not spent much time in Vermont at all—you are thinking of the White Mountains of New Hampshire! But I do know that Burlington is a great little college town, and we've also been to Woodstock. Oh, and you could visit Ben & Jerry's and/or King Arthur Flour! Sorry to not be of more help.

For some reason I thought y'all visited Vermont regularly. Ben & Jerry's is definitely on my Vermont list!
We've been to the White Mountains several times - our dream is to have a summer home north of North Conway.
